I've just left the Chamber where I've been raising our local restrictions directly with the PM.
Really frustrated that we're going to be added in to the same restrictions as the city and I argued strongly against it, but unfortunately our local Labour Council leaders across North Notts were calling for new measures to be introduced and so the message my colleagues Lee, Brendan and I were trying to put across was somewhat diluted!
I asked the PM for assurances that when it comes to lifting these restrictions in the future, we won't be tied to the City's figures and that it will be regularly reviewed.
Right now, we are where we are and I'll continue to push for what we need. We do need to follow these new rules and ensure that we give ourselves the best possible chance to lift the restrictions as soon as possible. These rules essentially are that you should not mix with other households indoors, and the rule of six still applies when mixing outdoors.
You can still have family or friends look after children where that is necessary for work etc, and you can still travel around where needed, but obviously trying to limit these things wherever possible.
We're tough up here. It's rubbish, I know, but let's suck it up, get through it and give ourselves the best chance of getting out of it ASAP!!
